Gatemi Min/Max Quantities sets the quantities your store will actually sell: a minimum of six, a maximum of two per customer, a product that only ships by the case of twelve, an order that has to reach $50 before it can be placed.
One rule engine, one answer
The failure this category is known for is a shopper being *offered* a quantity the cart then *refuses* — because the quantity selector, the Blocks stepper and the checkout each worked the number out separately. This plugin resolves a product's rules once and every surface reads that result: the quantity selector, the variation form, the archive Add-to-cart button, the classic cart, the Cart and Checkout blocks, and the Store API. If a quantity is offered, it is accepted.
What you can set
- On a product — minimum, maximum, and "sold in multiples of". Maximums count across the whole cart, so they cannot be beaten by adding the same product twice.
- On a variation — its own rules, or the parent's. Or combine every variation into one pooled quantity, so "at least 6" can be met with a mixed case.
- On a product category — inherited by every product in it and by every sub-category. The category's multiple is also checked across the category as a whole, so a mixed case still has to add up.
- On the whole order — smallest and largest number of items, smallest and largest order value, with tax counted or not as your store prefers. Individual products can be excluded, or left out of the totals.
Rules that cannot contradict each other
"At least 5, in multiples of 4" describes a quantity that does not exist. Rather than let that reach a shopper as an unsatisfiable checkout, minimums round up to the next multiple and maximums round down — and when saving changes what you typed, the product screen tells you so, with the before and the after.
Never a dead end
Every message names the product, the limit, what is in the cart, and — where there is one — the nearest quantity that would work. The same sentence appears in the classic cart, the Blocks cart and the Store API, because there is only one sentence.
Coming from WooCommerce Min/Max Quantities?
The settings screen notices the rules that plugin left behind and imports them in one click — products, variations, categories and order limits. Its data is only ever read, never modified, so you can go back at any time.
Built for real stores
- Stock-aware: a maximum never promises more than you can ship, and a product whose minimum exceeds its stock says "out of stock" rather than silently refusing every quantity a shopper enters
- Rules are resolved once per product per request and cached against a generation counter, so saving a rule retires every stale copy at once
- Express checkout buttons (Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal) are hidden only where a rule genuinely cannot be checked before the shopper clicks — not on every product that happens to have one
- No frameworks, no build step, no phone-home, no ads in your dashboard
- HPOS and Cart/Checkout Blocks compatible
For developers
Everything beyond the settings is a default with a filter beside it, and the filters are listed right on the settings screen — gmmq_rules, gmmq_category_rules, gmmq_violation_message, gmmq_cart_item_counts, gmmq_quantity_input_args and more.
Every license includes
- One year of updates and priority support, delivered straight to your WordPress dashboard.
- Use on 1, 5 or 25 sites depending on your license — local, staging and development sites are always free.
- 30-day money-back guarantee — full refund, no questions asked.
- Keeps working after expiry — if you choose not to renew, the plugin keeps running exactly as installed; it simply stops receiving updates and support until you do.
Requires WordPress 6.4+ · PHP 7.4+ · tested up to WordPress 7.0. Works with the classic and block checkout alike.

I like it. I don’t love the settings screen. A solid option in Orders & Inventory. Nothing to complain about, really.

Good, and I suspect it will be very good in a version or two. Glad I bought it.

Handled a big import without falling over. Min/Max Quantities handled Black Friday without a wobble. Well worth the money.
